MyFitnessPal
MFP has huge potential. It has a large data base of foods with comprehensive nutrient data. The app allows the user to "create" a food using ingredients that the app has stored data. Thus going forward, the user is able to enter in a single name for the "created food" to get the summary of calories and nutrients.
Its flaw is with the synching with its partner app, Under Armour Record. This app has a comprehensive exercise data base that integrates the users personal statistics to estimate a calorie burn based on the type of exercise. MFP provides nutrition data to Record and Record provides exercise data to MFP. Unfortunately, this users experience has been that the platform is unstable. Under Armour Record inconsistently does not send exercise data to MFP.
Tech support was available but in spite of all the attempts to "fix" the issue, the difficulty continues.
